The Boy Who Likes Stories
In a certain town there is a boy name
Boris. Boris likes stories. There has never gone a day in Boris’s
life where he doesn’t read or heard stories. He even walks
to different places in order to find new stories. There are even places that he
often visits to find new people to tell him stories. These places are
the park, the diner, and the bridge.
Today, Boris walks
around town like he always does every day. He keep walking until he finds
a man sitting on a bench facing the road. The man look like he has something on
his mind. So, Boris sits beside him.
“Is there something on your mind sir?” Boris
asks the man with concern.
“Oh, didn’t see
you there little buddy.” Says the man surprise by Boris’s sudden question. “No,
I don’t have anything on my mind.” Says the man denying Boris’s
question.
“But you
look like you have something on your mind, how about you tell
me about it? It might help you with whatever you have on your mind.” Says Boris
with confident.
“Alright, I’ll
tell you but it isn’t really anything interesting.” Says the man giving in. “I
was thinking about telling my crush that I like her and ask her
if she want to be my girlfriend.” Says the man. “Sound stupid
doesn’t it. An old man like me trying to confess like I’m a high school boy.”
Says the man laughing at himself as he feels stupid to even consider that he
has a chance with her.
“No, it
doesn’t. Heck, it sounds like you have a
target and a desire to fulfil. So I think you should go with it
and regret it later. You know what they say ‘high
risk, high reward’.” Says Boris with a smile on his face.
“Are you sure?”
Says the man doubting Boris.
“Yeah, I’m sure.”
Says Boris trying to convince the man.
“Maybe I will,
thank you boy for giving me confidence.” Says the man as he runs to the park.
“You’re welcome~,
tell me how it goes when we meet again someday.” Says Boris while
waving his hand.
“I will.” Says the
man waving back at Boris.
Then, Boris return
back home feeling satisfied that he got a new story while also helping other
people with their problem and another day ended for Boris as he goes to
bed and looking forward for tomorrow.
